Some strategies locally to increase CalFresh participation include expanding the number of community partners conducting CalFresh Outreach, continuing to spread the word about recent changes designed to increase participation (the ability to apply online via www.mybenefitscalwin.org and conduct telephone interviews), and focusing on horizontal integration (outreaching to households on another assistance program(s) but not on CalFresh). Additionally, we anticipate with Health Care Reform we will see a rise in CalFresh participation.
