A Santa Maria man is being sentenced to 125 years to life for molesting a child he was fostering between 2009 and 2011, while she was between the ages of 8 and 10. The victim disclosed the abuse when she was placed with another family in late 2011. The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office commended the Santa Maria Police Department and Child Welfare Services for their commitment to finding justice for this child and others in the community.
