The annual Veterans Stand Down event, aimed at veterans countywide who are homeless or in need, is significant for DSS. We help promote the event, coordinate dozens of service providers, execute grants to purchase shoes and supplies, provide numerous volunteers and donations, and help attendees understand and access our eligibility programs.
