The Santa Barbara County Network of Care, a partnership of Resilient Santa Barbara County (RSBC) and the Pediatric Resiliency Collaborative (PeRC), has released a new Request for Proposals for the Buffering Services Grant Program. Community organizations that provide services to address toxic stress in children and youth are invited to apply for the grants.
Toxic stress results when Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are so numerous or prolonged that they create hormonal changes in the body, putting young people at risk of lifelong physical and behavioral health problems. Learn more about ACEs and toxic stress here.
The Santa Barbara County KIDS Network is a cross-sector umbrella organization that receives administrative support from DSS and serves as the hub for RSBC.
