These materials provide key information that can be customized for local talking points, memos and/or presentations at the local level and assist in local or collective advocacy efforts. They are available in the Strategic Management\Press directory and were sent to PIOs and directors on January 23, 2017 with the subject line "CWDA Board Tool Kit for ACA Repeal - Hot off the press!". - Talking points document from CWDA, including points for customizing what percentage of your county population is on Medi-Cal. Note this is not posted on the CWDA website, as it is intended for directors’ use.
- A joint letter from California county associations, including CWDA and CSAC, that outlines the dire effects of a repeal without an adequate replacement
- County by county data by aid code group as of July 2016 – this is official DHCS data that has been shared with other organizations as well.
- The CWDA story collection campaign outline (also sent to the CWDA RRT, TRT, Self Sufficiency and Communications Groups)
- Additionally, here is the link to CWDA's newly released blog that discusses how a repeal will have a ripple effect not only for our clients but also for our safety net programs. - The webpage with additional resources from outside organizations, including the UC Berkeley Labor Center, is up and running and will be updated regularly.
